BERLIN — Authorities say a younger woman wounded in a knife assault at a Berlin college Wednesday afternoon is now not in a life-threatening situation.
German information company dpa quoted an official on the Berlin state training division Thursday as saying that the kid and one other woman stay hospitalized with critical accidents.
The 7 and 8-year-olds had been attacked within the playground of the personal Protestant College in Berlin’s Neukoelln district.
A person was later detained by police. Prosecutors mentioned Thursday that they’ve requested for the 38-year-old suspect to be held in a psychiatric hospital, pending additional investigation.
The varsity’s principal, Thorsten Knauer-Huckauf, mentioned the suspect was not a member of the varsity group. He mentioned college students, employees and fogeys had been “deeply affected and shocked” by the assault.
