THE 11-year-old boy who was savaged by a shark whereas snorkelling just some meters from the shore has been pictured after the horror assault.
Archie Blake was snorkelling close to Exmouth, Western Australia through the “journey of a lifetime” along with his household when he was brutally bitten by the beast.
The assault occurred after 3pm on Saturday leaving Archie with “severe lacerations” on his left leg.
The boy had left Hobart, Tasmania along with his dad and mom and three siblings for a tenting journey on the Kurrajong Campground at Cape Vary Nationwide Park they’d been planning for years.
Archie and his mum Hazel, had been about 50 metres away from the seashore when the assault occurred.
Marc De Sousa, who was tenting within the space and witnessed the incident stated the boy had a “respectable measurement” chew above the knee.
