A BRITISH couple have been robbed at gunpoint of their lodge bed room on a paradise Caribbean island.
The pair say they’ve been left “traumatised” after a masked intruder burst into their room at 3am and made off with £5,000.
They confronted the burglar, who was carrying darkish clothes, a masks, and a bag on his again.
He then fled in direction of the doorway of the lodge on the island of Antigua earlier than escaping.
The criminal managed to get away with a variety of the couple’s valuables, together with a digital camera value £700 and £5,000 in money.
Antigua police confirmed that they’re investigating the incident, which occurred final weekend.


A spokesman for the lodge mentioned the vacationers had been left “traumatised”.
They added: “This type of factor shouldn’t be taking place right here.
“We want to provide our apologies to the customer.
The matter has been reported to the police, and it’s of their arms.
“The police are coping with it proper now.”
